Terms of Service

1. What FlashBell is — and is not

FlashBell turns Ring doorbell presses and motion events into alerts designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing households: full-screen flashes, distinct vibration patterns per device, and alerts that repeat until a member of your household acknowledges them. FlashBell works with Ring doorbells and cameras through the official Ring API. It does not interact with Ring Alarm in any way.

2. Requirements

• A Ring account with at least one compatible Ring doorbell or camera, linked to FlashBell through the Ring Appstore.
• FlashBell is available in the United States only.
• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create a household. You are responsible for the household members you invite.

3. Service availability — no reliability guarantees

FlashBell depends on systems we do not control: the Ring platform and API, push-notification delivery by Apple and Google, your internet connection, and the configuration of your Ring devices. As a result:

• Alerts may be delayed, and some events may not produce an alert at all.
• We make no guarantee that any particular doorbell press or motion event will be detected, delivered, or delivered on time.
• Do not rely on FlashBell as your only way of learning about activity at your door.
• The service may be modified, interrupted, or unavailable at times, including for maintenance or due to changes on the Ring platform.

Ring device settings (such as motion detection zones and Smart Alerts) are controlled in the Ring app and affect which events FlashBell receives.

4. Subscription and billing — handled by Ring

• FlashBell is billed monthly, for each doorbell or camera you turn it on for. Two doors cost twice as much as one — this is the only structure Ring Billing supports. The current price, and any free-trial period, are set by our billing plan with Ring and shown to you in the Ring Appstore before you subscribe.
• All billing is handled by Ring through the Ring Appstore, on your Ring account. We never see or store your payment details.
• One free trial per customer. What happens at the end of a trial is determined by Ring Billing and shown to you in the Ring Appstore when you subscribe.
• Billing is monthly. You can cancel at any time in the Ring app under Ring My Apps or at account.ring.com/account/integrations. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your access continues until then.
• If your underlying Ring subscription is cancelled, Ring automatically deactivates dependent partner subscriptions, including FlashBell.

5. Your account and household

• Sign-in is passwordless, via one-time email codes. Keep access to your email account; anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
• Household owners may invite up to 10 members. Members receive all alerts and can acknowledge them for the whole household. Invite only people in your own home whose email addresses you are entitled to use.
• One household corresponds to one Ring account. You may not use FlashBell to receive events from Ring accounts that are not yours.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to access other users' data, probing or disrupting our systems, reverse-engineering the service, reselling access, or using FlashBell in violation of applicable law or of Ring's terms.

7. Snapshots and your content

Alert snapshots are fetched from Ring solely to be shown to you and your household, are never analyzed, and are automatically deleted within 48 hours. Our data practices are described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

8. Termination and deletion

• You can stop using FlashBell at any time: delete your account in the dashboard (Settings → Delete account & all data) or unlink FlashBell in the Ring app. Both permanently delete your data on our side.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the service, and we may discontinue the service with reasonable notice where practicable.

9. Disclaimers

FlashBell is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-interruption. Without limiting Section 3, we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Erbacci LTD will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from a missed, delayed, or undelivered alert. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to FlashBell is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, the above applies to the fullest extent permitted.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted at this address with a new effective date before they take effect. Continuing to use FlashBell after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

12. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, where Erbacci LTD is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Ring is a trademark of Ring LLC or its affiliates; FlashBell is built by Erbacci LTD and is not affiliated with Ring.
